the interview

I was recently interviewed by a leading top class journalist. I've decided to log the interview here so that you peeps could get to know me better. [disclaimer: text written in this color are thoughts I had while having the interview, the journalist isn't aware of any of them]

top class journalist: What's with Pi?

isagani: Those are my initials P.I. - Paulo Isagani. Are you really a top class journalist? I've had questions that made more sense from my dog.

tcj: What actually is pi?

i: Just as I thought, my dog knows more than you do. Besides being one of the coolest numbers in existence.. Pi is also 4*(1 - 1/3 + 1/5 - 1/7 + 1/9 - ...). It's an irrational, nonrepeating, nonterminating, transcendental number.

tcj: Uhuh.. Wow! That's really something.. So what sort of stuff do you like?

i: I like music. Listening, but more so making. I'm starting to like blogging. I hate stupid reporters. I also like reading fantasy/sci-fi and other fiction books. ALIAS is my favorite tvseries. My favorite band are The Corrs. My favorite song - Hopelessly Addicted, also from The Corrs. What else.. Hmmm.. Can't think of anything else. Actually I'm just getting tired of talking to you.

tcj: How 'bout showbiz? Do you have a favorite movie, or actress?

i: Jennifer Aniston's really great, but actingwise my favorite is Julia Roberts. My favorite actor is Colin Farrell. No particular reason for that. I think the movie I like most is LoTR, but I also like "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"
. Cause it's so stupid and funny. Unlike you, you're just stupid.

tcj: Sa tagal mong nabubuhay sa mundong ito, umibig ka na ba? (Did you ever love someone romantically since you were born?)

i: Yes, kay Paula Ocampo.

tcj: Could you tell us more about her?

i: Just checkout my blog in the future. I'll be posting a section especially for her.

tcj: Well that's really rich.. You said you liked music, could you tell us more about that?

i: Seriously, you call yourself a journalist. I like everything to do with music and I play a bit of it myself. I play keyboards(piano), guitar, drums, a little violin and recently I played the bongos for my org.

tcj: I find that really hard to believe..

i: Suit yourself. Ok, here's a picture of me playing in church.

tcj: But that's just the guitar..

i: Your annoying. Ok.. next question please.

tcj: What do you do?

i: I'm a 5th yr Computer Engineering student in UP Diliman. Student affiliate in the Digital Signal Processing Laboratory or DSP. Currently I'm part of a group that's working to (or at least trying to) implement Space Time Coding in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

tcj: Wow.. that's deep man.

i: It's only deep for guys like you. We try our best.

tcj: What's your greatest dream in life?

i: To do/create something that's actually going to change my country. I guess becoming rich is also in the list, but I want to do it here in the Philippines. Not somewhere else.

tcj: Oops, that's all the time we have.. Do you think we could meet some other time?

i: Bite me
.

tcj: I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that.

i: I said I'd be happy.

tcj: Okay then. Thanks for your time.

i: Thanks for leaving me alone. Goodbye!
